Project Overview: In-Home Advisor Mobile App

Best Buy's In-Home Advisors offer expert advice and services through personalized at-home consultations nationwide. This service provides clients with a dedicated Best Buy expert who recommends tailored products and services to help achieve their goals.

I was brought on board to deliver Product Design services and develop initial MVP creative concepts and high-resolution prototypes. Collaborating over several months with internal Business Stakeholders and Development teams, we established business requirements, addressed technical constraints, and created annotated wireframes for a streamlined data capture process.

Key Contributions

I collaborated with Business Stakeholders and Development teams to define requirements, identify constraints, and set priorities. I also facilitated in-person workshops to foster empathy and alignment, while maintaining regular meetings to ensure ongoing collaboration.
Through an extensive test-and-learn process, I designed the BBY DNA (Digital Notebook App), a native mobile app enabling In-Home Advisors to efficiently capture crucial home consult notes on their Android phones, incorporating features like voice-to-text and measurements.
I worked with development teams to create functional UI prototypes for the MVP phase and led user testing. My handoffs included comprehensive documentation, walkthrough videos, and clear design instructions to ensure smooth implementation.
